One of the easiest ways to prevent headaches is to maintain a healthy sleep schedule. While the number of hours will vary from person to person, most healthy adults need between 7 to 9 hours of sleep in order to function at their best. Young children and teens will need even more.

Regular exercise can help you get a good night’s sleep. But exercising too close to bedtime can keep you up at night. Try to exercise at least three hours before bed.
