I attended the University of Victoria and graduated with a Bachelors of Commerce (International Business). After graduating from the BCOMM program at UVIC, I immediately entered the financial world but within a short period of time, I realized that the world of finance was not my "calling" and decided to pursue other alternative career paths. I got my first taste of the hi-tech world in 1999, at the peak of the "dot.com bubble" and just before the so-called "Y2K" fear with a local Victoria software development company specializing in digital photo management.
